Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Dakar, Senegal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Information Management Associate (U.S. Citizen, Eligible Family Member only). Position will become vacant in/about June 2021. Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
The incumbent of this position performs most duties within the Information Programs Center (IPC) or in a customer service capacity at the American Embassy Dakar Chancery compound or its annex buildings. Incumbent reports to the Information Programs Officer (IPO) and is responsible for operations of the telegraphic communications system, manages and supports the Embassy's ClassNet, OpenNet, and peripheral networks, serving approximately 500 users from 15 agencies.
Basic functions include hardware and software installation, configuration, maintenance and disaster recovery. Supervises 2 switchboard operators. Will assist in ILMS for DPM, DPO, Class Pouch, and IRM inventory. Will also use ILMS to place and track purchase requests.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
• At least two years performing progressively more responsible functions where emphasis is placed on analytical abilities focusing on Local Area Networking, computer operations and/or management, radio infrastructure and basic telephone knowledge required.

Education Requirements:
• Two (2) years of college/university studies in general coursework such as English composition, math, education, and other general electives is required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:
• English, Fluent Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. (This may be tested.)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Specialized skill in problem recognition, inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, rule application, troubleshooting and problem solving, learning and keeping abreast of a rapidly changing field, translating business needs into technical solutions, customer service, presenting technical concepts simply, self-management, and stress tolerance. Also need keyboarding, and numerical skills (the ability to read and interpret numerical data in excel spreadsheets or similar formats).

Qualifications:
