Category Development Manager – Coffee.
• Location: Dakar
• Company: Nestle Senegal et Pays Satellites
• Position Type: Full-time
• Minimum Educational qualification: Master’s Degree
Minimum Relevant work experience: 5 years’ experience in marketing or any other related function, ideally in commercial related fields or equivalent FMCG Experience working with cross functional teams.

Nestlé Senegal is currently looking for a Category Development Manager to supports the Category Manager in the planning and implementation of the Integrated Commercial Plan to generate strong business results for the category.


Main responsibilities
• Assists the Category Manager in the development of country category plans during the ICP by contributing and providing the required brand related inputs to the process i.e. – input on consumer data, BHT etc.
• Responsible to develop and execute consumer activity plan.
• Works with the Category Manager on all brand related inputs for the Monthly Business Planning meetings.
• Assists the Category Manager to ensure that pricing is in line with the guidelines agreed with the business by making recommendations when required, on pricing to consumers and defining the desired relative pricing.
• Works in partnership with local agencies to implement consumer activities according to the consumer activity plan.
• Implements and monitors planned consumer activities for the brands in the portfolio and makes proposals on areas that need improvement to improve results and planning of similar activities in future.
• Manages sampling specific to the category.
• Understands the impact of PFME spend on the P&L of the category and tracks the brands performance and health.
• Ensure that all Pre and post evaluations of consumer activities+B17:F24 are done in line with the SOP.
• Ensure that they have the right inputs (Data) that will permit them define the right activities KPIs.”
• Develop capabilities of direct reports / interns.
• Internal stakeholder management

What makes you successful?
• 5 years’ experience in marketing or any other related function, ideally in commercial related fields or equivalent FMCG Experience working with cross functional teams.
• Additional experience in sales … will be an advantage.
• Proven track record of consumer understanding.
• Able to develop, execute and evaluate category plans.
• Must have a marketing or related commercial degree.
• Experience in Communication & Event agencies as Project or account Manager.
• Leadership skills
• Good communication, stakeholder management & presentation skills
• Open minded, adaptable, curious, dynamic
• Myst be mobile for flied work & flexible.
• Must be able to speak French and English
