About the Role
Eclipse Holdings is seeking a versatile and hands-on Electromechanical Engineer to support the design, integration, and deployment of hybrid infrastructure systems under the Yoonu Leer initiative.
Yoonu Leer is a bold new model for rural electrification, combining solar PV, battery storage, and Bitcoin mining into a decentralized, modular system. The Electromechanical Engineer will bridge mechanical, electrical, and installation needs, ensuring robust and efficient deployment of
containerized infrastructure in challenging environments.


Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the integration of electrical and mechanical subsystems within modular containers: solar inverters, batteries, racking systems, HVAC, and mining hardware.
• Design and support mechanical mounting systems (panels, batteries, inverters, transformers, air-flow, and cooling structures).
• Assist in the layout, wiring, and balance of system (BoS) configuration for PV and BESS systems.
• Coordinate and test thermal management strategies for mining loads and sensitive electronics.
• Support the selection and integration of electromechanical components, including enclosures, cable trays, switches, protective de vices, and airflow systems.
• Develop installation procedures, assembly drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Participate in field deployment, including inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and system commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, safety regulations, and local codes.
• Collaborate with the structural and electrical engineering teams to ensure full-system alignment.
• Assist in preparing documentation for grant proposals, compliance submissions, and technical presentations.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Systems Engineering
• Solid understanding of PV, battery, and inverter technologies, along with their mechanical and electrical installation requirements
• Ability to interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs), mechanical layouts, and installation manuals
• Experience in or exposure to rural or off-grid energy systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in interdisciplinary settings
• Effective communication skills in French and English
• Willingness to travel to deployment sites and contribute to hands-on implementation

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of low-voltage system integration, protection devices, and load management
• Familiarity with cooling systems, cable management, and field deployment of enclosed systems
• Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or PVsyst is a plus
• Previous exposure to microgrids, mining rigs, or industrial automation
• Ability to evaluate component specifications and assist in procurement decisions
