Job description
As Head of Department Procurement, you will lead a key strategic function at Eramet Grande Côte, shaping and steering the full procurement lifecycle.
Based in Dakar, Senegal, and reporting to the Area Manager Procurement & Supply, you will transform procurement from a transactional operation into a high-impact strategic function.
This includes designing sourcing strategies, driving process excellence, and embedding sustainability and CSR across procurement practices.
Your leadership will ensure the timely, cost-effective, and ethical sourcing of goods and services in alignment with both local operational needs and global standards.


Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of end-to-end procurement strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Drive operational excellence across procurement methods, tools, performance, CSR, and risk management.
• Manage international and local sourcing to support timely procurement, contracting, and supplier relationships.
• Implement procurement best practices in line with Eramet Management System (EMS) standards.
• Develop sustainable and socially responsible sourcing strategies, integrating CSR principles.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, warehouse, and other departments to streamline workflows.
• Oversee procurement systems (P2P, e-sourcing), tools, and analytics platforms.
• Define and monitor procurement KPIs, ensuring savings, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
• Supervise supplier evaluation and onboarding, risk assessments, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical procurement standards.


Your profile
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain, including at least 5 years in leadership and 5 years of overseas experience.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, and contract management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement technologies (SAP, Ariba, Coupa) and data analytics.
• Deep understanding of CSR and sustainable procurement practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications (CIPS, CPIM) are a plus.
• Fluent in English; French proficiency is an asset.
