What You’ll Do
You will be the custodian of all Fluid’s financial accounts (ledgers, balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement), and all relevant disclosures or information for regulatory reporting, financial reporting and financial analysis purposes. This role involves strict compliance with financial reporting standards, income tax laws and other regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities
Finance and Accounting
• General accounting tasks, including reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and general ledger operations, preparing journal entries, preparing monthly closing and financial reports, preparing account/bank reconciliations;
• Work with the CEO and management team on budget planning and financial analysis;
• Perform finance analysis, reporting and management tasks
• Prepare invoices, payments, payroll, bank transfers and execute bank transactions
• Review financial paperwork and procedures, provide recommendations and make necessary changes;
• Ensure all expenses are within assigned budgets and verify the completeness of all required supporting documentation for all payments vouchers
• Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely;
• Settle amounts due, or recover outstanding receivables;
• Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues;
• Prepare and coordinate financial audits
• Ensure proper and complete documentation and filing for easy retrieval of all accounting related documents;
• Identify and provide feedback and suggestions to management related to improvements to FLUID’s policies, procedures, processes and financial systems and related programs;

In addition, you can analyse and integrate potentially conflicting numerical, verbal and other data from a number of sources. You are disciplined and pay high attention to details (bonus: you can demonstrate this in your CV by writing your name in orange). and are able to work independently and multi-task and meet deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance with minimum 4 years work experience
• Professional Qualifications. CA or partly qualified ( ACCA/ICAG)
• Ability to prepare and maintain the full set of accounts
• Knowledge and hands on experience with Odoo, Wave or other Accounting Software
• Proficient in English
• Willing to Travel within West Africa (Ghana)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Desirable
• Background in Banking and/or Agriculture
• Previous experience in tech startup, NGO or financial institution
