PATH Senegal works in partnership with Ministry of Health towards improving the health of the Senegalese population. Since 2001, PATH has collaborated with government leaders, communities, health care workers, and other stakeholders to identify and deploy innovative approaches to combat malaria and other infectious diseases, strengthen health systems, improve reproductive health, and address the growing threat of non-communicable diseases.

Going forward, PATH will continue to expand its work and partnerships in Senegal to strengthen health systems, improve services, and bring high-quality care to women, children, and communities.
PATH in Senegal is seeking an experimented and bilingual Finance officer to provide support to the Finance department in Senegal.


Responsibilities
• Support to Finance Operations
• Ensure that supporting documents are efficient and follow internal control
• Input financial and accounting data into the Business world accounting software system as requested
• Scan and archive FOFR documents with the SN Finance assistant.
• Cash Inventory and control (monthly closing)
• Perform routine banking transactions and preparation of bank checks and/or wires; support reconciliation of monthly bank statements.
• Assist the Finance Manager with monitoring budget advances for workshop and/or meetings.
• Ensure that all office accounts (i.e. telephone, internet, building services, office rent, taxes and vendors) are paid in an appropriate and timely manner
• Liaise with International accounting services for any questions and requests
• Prepare payroll taxes and any other payments on a monthly basis
• Develop and update SOP to reflect current operations and control
• Prepare biannual reports to send to each prefect of regions where PATH operates
• Serve as a back-up when the Finance Assistant is not available.
• Manage the fleet distribution to make sure that vehicles are allocated efficiently.
• Prepare audit process and implement action plan resulting form the audit.
• Upload Mobile money payment list in the platform and submit for approval
• Upload wire in OMNI for consultants or independent contractors

Payroll:
• Prepare the payroll to submit to the finance and operations manager for control
• Prepare salary payment wire to the bank.
Monthly Analysis:
• Employee and non- employee Advance Account: ensure that advances are cleared on time within the month of closing.
• Analyze other receivables and Clearing Account


Facilities:
• Act as the Security and Safety focal point to maintain Emergency plan and others documents up to date
• Be part of the green team committee
• Conduct some security / emergency test
• Ensure that Extinguishers are up to date
• Ensure that Fire detection are working and liaise with the provider if needed for maintenance
• Work closely with the safety and Security team


Required Skills & Experience
• Master in finance and accounting
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in accounting specially in NGO or Multinational company
• Fluency in English and French is mandatory
• Be familiar with MS environment
• Have an experience in SAP or Agresso or any other ERP system
• Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
