Job description
We are currently seeking an Engineering & Quality Manager to join our team and lead engineering and quality assurance efforts for our Expansion Project.
The Engineering & Quality Manager (EQM) will oversee all engineering and technical integration aspects as well as quality management for the Eramet Grande Côte Expansion Project.
This involves managing the EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) team, ensuring the successful transfer of engineering data, and implementing robust quality control systems across all phases of the project.
We offer an 18-month fixed-term contract with a choice of 5/3 expat roster or residential arrangement.
Responsibilities
Engineering Management:
• Oversee EPCM progress and ensure alignment with project schedules and standards.
• Coordinate with construction and procurement teams to meet project milestones.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Quality Management:
• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan, Site Quality Plan, and ISO requirements.
• Conduct audits, manage non-conformance issues, and ensure effective quality reporting.
• Oversee supplier audits and monitor contractor quality systems.
Team Leadership:
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the engineering and quality teams.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across multicultural teams.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and authorities, to ensure seamless project execution.
Your profile
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Professional engineering certification is an advantage.
Experience
• Minimum 12 years in mining, heavy engineering, or process industries.
• At least 6 years in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Familiarity with international engineering and construction standards.
• Experience in QA/QC systems, particularly ISO 9001:2015.
Skills
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
• Excellent knowledge of engineering systems and interdependencies.
• Proficiency in English is essential; French is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and remote environment.
