KOICA Rice Value Chain Development Project (PDCVR-Kolda)

1) Health Sector Consultant
Main Responsibilities:
• Support the rehabilitation of targeted health facilities and the provision of medical equipment.
• Design and implement capacity-building activities in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and nutrition for nurses, midwives, and community health workers.
• Develop nutrition IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials and support food demonstration activities to raise awareness on nutrition.
• Ensure liaison with key stakeholders such as CNDN, DIEM, DSME, MCD, targeted health facilities, and community actors.
• Carry out data collection, monitoring, and evaluation, and prepare weekly or activity reports.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Field Manager (FM) or delegated personnel (PAO, etc.).
Qualifications:
• Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in health, nutrition, or community development projects.
• Strong communication and reporting skills in French (English is an asset).
• Familiarity with the local health system and experience in the Kolda region is preferred.
2) Agriculture Sector Consultant
Main Responsibilities:
• Assist Korean specialists in rice cultivation, cooperatives, and agricultural machinery in their respective activities.
• Prepare and maintain rice demonstration fields.
• Mobilize and support capacity-building programs for local leaders, GIEs, and unions.
• Support the establishment of family gardens as part of nutrition-related activities.
• Ensure liaison with key stakeholders such as SODAGRI, ISRA, DRDR, and producers.
• Conduct data collection, monitoring and evaluation, and prepare weekly/activity reports.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Field Manager (FM) or his/her representative.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in rice cultivation, farmer training, or agricultural project implementation.
• Strong communication and field coordination skills.
• Proficiency in French required; local language skills (Pulaar/Wolof) are an advantage.
