YUX is a pan-African research & design company that mixes behavioral sciences, human computer interaction and machine learning to co-create tech and AI products tailored to African communities. What are we looking for
As we continue to expand our impact with development organizations and research institutions across the continent, notably around Artificial Intelligence, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Partnership & Growth Manager to join our team. This role will be crucial in identifying and securing new opportunities within the NGO, donor, and philanthropic sector, focusing on large-scale grant applications and Request for Proposals (RFPs).


Your missions
Lead the Identification and Acquisition of Grant Opportunities: Proactively monitor and identify RFPs, grant opportunities, and framework agreements from key international and local NGOs, foundations, and development partners. Sectors include health, Financial Inclusion, education and Artificial Intelligence

Develop and Submit Winning Proposals: Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including:
• Analyzing RFP/Grant requirements and aligning them with YUX's research and design capabilities.
• Crafting compelling narratives and technical approaches that showcase the value of Human-Centered Design in development work.
• Coordinating with Project Managers, Researchers, and the Finance team to develop detailed budgets and resource plans.

Cultivate Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain strong, high-level relationships with key decision-makers and programmatic leads within target NGOs and development organizations (e.g., Gates Foundation, UNICEF, IRC, MSF, etc.).
Articulate YUX’s Unique Value Proposition: Educate potential partners on the value of our research and design approaches, especially our expertise in applying HCD to complex challenges in sectors like Health, Education, and Agriculture in an African context.
Maintain Operational Excellence: Keep our CRM updated with all partnership activities and opportunity pipelines, ensuring strong internal collaboration with the Project and Finance teams.



Qualifications
• At least 3 years of professional experience, ideally with a focus on business development, proposal writing, or partnership management within the NGO, aid, or development sector.
• Prior experience as a researcher or designer is highly valued, as it provides a strong foundation for understanding and articulating the project methodologies and deliverables YUX offers.
• Strong capacity to engage with new potential partners (online or offline), understand their needs and align their objectives with YUX service offering.
• Good personal network and knowledge in at least 2 of our key areas of expertise in Africa: Health, Financial Inclusion, Education and Artificial Intelligence
• Proven ability to successfully manage and write complex proposals, RFPs, and grant applications.
• Highly organized, reliable, autonomous, and a strong relationship builder.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken - French is a plus but not mandatory.

• Contract : Full-time or Part-time (at least 50% FTE)
• Compensation: Monthly salary + Variable based on quarterly revenue objectives
