Position Summary
This role provides essential support for NBA Africa and the BAL across game-day execution, league logistics, and player development. Responsibilities include assisting with venue setup and breakdown, managing schedules, coordinating team and referee logistics, and supporting coaching clinics and talent development initiatives. The role ensures operational readiness and contributes to a smooth experience for players, staff, and stakeholders.


Major Responsibilities
Game-Day & Venue Operations
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and logistics for games, tournaments, and special events
• Support on-site check-ins for teams, referees, and staff
• Provide friendly, helpful assistance to players, coaches, and personnel

Scheduling & Coordination
• Help maintain and distribute league schedules
• Ensure timely communication with teams, referees, and BAL staff
• Support roster management and referee assignments
• Equipment & Data Management
• Track, maintain, and distribute outfitting equipment
• Record game results, update standings, and compile operational reports
• Maintain player performance databases and scouting records
• Coaching Clinics & Talent Development
• Assist with clinic logistics and scheduling in coordination with federations
• Support identification of standout players for development programs

Required Skills/Knowledge
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and game days
• Willingness to travel across Africa
• Business proficiency in English; French is a plus
• Knowledge of basketball rules and gameplay (preferred)
• Familiarity with video editing or highlight tagging software (preferred)
Experience Needed
2 years of postgraduate work experience in league operations, sports environment, coaching, or basketball operations

Educational Background Required
Higher education institution (vocational school, professional degree, university degree, or master’s degree) in related field
