Job Purpose
Vivo Energy Senegal Engineering Team is part of VE Senegal Distribution Team.

Main responsibilities are:
• The management and coordination of Engineering in Distribution terminals / installations and JVs.
• Ensuring implementation of policies, procedures and standardization of work processes.
• Providing expertise to support terminals JV and pipelines engineering.
• Participating actively in establishing and implementing Distribution projects
• Ensure adequate implementation of facilities maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with agreed VE standards and provide assurance regarding the integrity of Distribution assets:
• Develop engineering competence
• Providing engineering support to B2B in accordance with agreed SLAs.
• Manage Capex and Opex accordingly to VE SN plan

Principal Accountabilities
The job-holder is accountable for all areas of engineering in depots and B2B sites . This will include particularly :

• Manage and coordinate all Projects in compliance with group operational and HSSE standards;
• Manage the Engineering interface in VE depots, with JVs and third party depots network
• T&R and Capex preparation, benchmarking and technical studies.
• Collecting data on the current status of Asset Management in Senegal
• Maintain high level of asset integrity and to lead new project in a safe and timely manner.
• Support the Definition & application of appropriate technology for Senegal Supply & Distribution and B2B including automation, plant control systems, tank gauging, product measurement, truck loading etc.
• Develop depot automation strategies, oversee implementation program
• Planning and implementation of the work necessary for compliance with the Group Global Environmental Standards (GEMS)
• Support Asset Integrity initiatives Tank, Pipeline & Jetty Integrity programs; fire fighting assessments
• Act as a focal point for all technical standards, regulation and best practices.
• Manage all HSSE matters in line with VE policy and guidelines (HSSE MS) and ensure awareness of and compliance with VE safety standards and requirements. Stimulate and support change toward proactive HSSE culture.
• Prepare Contract Board Strategies and tender documents for Request for Quotations
• Manage Contracts for Projects execution
• Understand the activity, business and needs of contractors, provide sound information and advice, and negotiate win-win solutions
• Support building an effective Engineering/Maintenance team between Engineering and depots to maximize opportunities for resource sharing and identification of best practice.

Key Challenges
• Provide assurance that Distribution assets are fit for purpose, comply to standards (including HSSE) and are being properly maintained
• Ensure that S&D Capex is spent as per plan on schedule and within budget (and accurately captured in systems such as Capex Bay)
• Raise the Engineering competence (and compliance) of the VE Senegal S&D engineering team
• Support to develop Competence of contractors
• Demonstrate effective leadership skills, communication, time management and customer focus

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Degree in any Engineering discipline
• At least 8 years experiences in Maintenance, Project Management related to Distribution plant and/or Asset Management
• Experience in a Distribution or Refining environment would be desirable
• Fluency in English would be an added advantage
