Description de l'offre

Missions :
• Coordinate and award tenders and administer site operating and capital contracts.
• Control, manage and maintain all aspects of contract documentation, including maintaining standard operating procedures for the tender and award process at site.
• Provide advice to core business disciplines on site to maximise benefits from tendering, evaluation, award and contract administration.
• Manage the process of all Contracts on site including regular meetings and reviews with contractor representative and End-users to ensure compliance with the Contract requirements.
• Responsible to liaise with company corporate legal and risk management departments to ensure compliance with exceptional risk or legal issues associated with contract execution.
• Establish a database to ensure terms and milestones within a contract are achieved.
• Participate in contract negotiations including the negotiation of contract payment schedules and progress payments.
• Act as a point of inquiry for all site tender and contract matters.
• Maintain timely and professional service levels to site customer base in the planning of contracting strategies, preparation of tenders and evaluation of proposals, negotiations with bidders, all contract execution and administration duties.
• Manage all contracting matters relating to government regulatory requirements, manage and resolve claims and disputes, progress claims and invoice payments, correspondence, backcharges, taxes, insurance, liability, indemnities, bonds, retentions, and liquidated damages.
• Monitor and maintain the site contract register.
• Administer site contract management information systems.
• Coordinate legal advice relating to any contractual disputes and advise senior management of the potential for any significant claims or exposure.
• Maintain accurate filing and archiving of records deemed necessary by the Accounts/Auditing teams.
• Prepare quantitative KPI’s and Reports on a regular basis and as requested.
• Carry out work as directed.
• To work towards the timely delivery of goods and services and accurate compliance with ISO9001 Standards and respective host Countries laws and regulation.
• Ensure all contracts are carefully administrated within tight deadlines with competing priorities.
• Ensure all contracts are kept up to date and that a scheduled approach is adhered to at all times.
• Ensure that all site procedures are adhered to with respect to purchases/contract and that operations comply with all relevant government and statutory Laws, Acts and Regulations



Qualifications:
Master’s degree and additional certifications or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Law, Finance, or a related field…



Skills Requirements
• Contract drafting and management experience
• Professionalism, ethics, propriety, and integrity is required of the incumbent in the position.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong and demonstrable commitment to safety, quality and the continuous improvement management.
• Sound strategic thinking with efficient decision-making ability and good discernment skills in knowing when to escalate issues.


Experience:
• Experience in a similar role, negotiating and administering a portfolio of diverse contracts.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in contract management.
• Thorough understanding of contracts and their components, including a sound knowledge of contract law and appropriate state and federal legislation, tax and mining regulations.
• Significant experience in the mining environment.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in mining operations or contracting mining.
• 3 years should be at a senior level in position of the same or similar discipline.
• Substantial knowledge and experience in Africa.
