Description de l'offre

PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing heath challenges.
PATH has been operating in Senegal since 2001, with staff members located in offices throughout the country. PATH has a proven track record in mobilizing stakeholders and building the capacity of the Senegal Ministry of Health and Social Action (MSAS) in their efforts at all levels to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the country’s health system. In Senegal, PATH is implementing the Urban Health (UH) Project, a five-year project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by a consortium of four nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). The USAID UH project aims to build sustainable health system capacity in Keur Massar, Guediawaye, and Yeumbeul, three health districts in the Dakar region, by improving health systems management, optimizing resource use, and effectively implementing health sector policies and guidelines. The program will also improve access to and quality of high-impact, evidence-based interventions, and services.

PATH seeks a Communication Associate to support the USAID UH project’s communication needs throughout the project cycle (2022-2027). He/she will work closely with UH consortium partners to help implement the communications strategy, facilitate events, expand media outreach, and produce high-quality, creative content for social media platforms and websites.
Under the supervision of the UH Chief of Party (CoP), and working closely with the UH project team, the Communications Associate will help implement the communications strategy and ensure the project fulfills USAID communications requirements. He/she will be responsible for creating content such as UH project fact sheets, press releases, blogs, and social media posts. He/she will also monitor media and campaign coverage and attend internal and external events.
The Communications Associate will contribute to the development of communications materials (visual and written), manage the image of the project and partners at public events (including national and local media engagement), and implement specific communications activities to enhance the impact and reach of program interventions.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Write and edit communications materials.
• Write social media and website content in accordance with social media strategy and donor requirements.
• Prepare presentations, bi-communications weekly updates, and provide inputs for project reports.
• Assist in organizing public events and other external workshops, as well as technical group meetings.
• Track and measure the reach and impact of the project’s public-facing statements, media hits, etc.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or similar field.
• Minimum 3 years’ Experience in graphic design and as a videographer/photographer, including editing.
• Experience managing social media platforms.
• Experience applying company style and brand guidelines to communication products.
• Experience in communications or external relations, preferably in NGO, an international organization or multicultural environment.
• Excellent written and spoken French. Fluency in English is an asset.
• Experience with USAID projects, including managing project communications, is highly desired.
• PATH is dedicated to building an inclusive workforce where diversity is valued.
