The World Vegetable Center (WorldVeg) is a non-profit, autonomous international agricultural research center headquartered in Taiwan and with five regional offices worldwide. WorldVeg delivers science and innovation for enhanced vegetable production and consumption in a rapidly changing world. WorldVeg seeks to employ an Administrative Officer. These are three positions, respectively based in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal. These positions will contribute to a new program aimed at creating an inclusive and competitive vegetable and potato seed sector that provides smallholder farmers with access to affordable, quality seeds of a wide range of adapted varieties. The five-year program will operate in Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal. It will strengthen the capacity of private seed enterprises and increase farmers’ demand for quality seed; strengthen the supply of improved varieties and the conservation of local biodiversity; and create a more efficient regulatory environment for governance of the vegetable and potato seed sector, including coordination and evidence-based decision-making.
The Administrative Officer will support all administrative aspects of the program in coordination with the hosting organization and the WorldVeg regional office in Benin. The person will report to the program Country Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Office administration: Managing correspondence, filing systems, records, and office supplies.
2. Program support: Coordinating meetings, workshops, travel arrangements, and logistics for program activities.
3. Financial administration: Assisting with budgets, payment processing, expense tracking, and financial documentation in accordance with donor requirements.
4. Procurement and asset management: Supporting purchasing processes, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring procurement follows donor and organizational policies.
5. Compliance and reporting: Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audits, donor reviews, and reporting requirements.
6. Human resources support: Assisting with onboarding, timesheets, leave records, and personnel files.
7. Stakeholder coordination: Communicating with staff, partners, vendors, government agencies, and donors as needed.
8. Any other duties assigned by the Country Lead to support effective program implementation.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in administration, project support, or operations.
• Knowledge of donor regulations and reporting requirements is often preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills (especially Microsoft Word and Excel).

The Reward: This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with competitive pay and benefits. The position is only open to nationals or permanent residents of the respective countries. The initial appointment for this position is three years, renewable. The position is available on 1 September 2026.
