The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contract-related activities for the mining project. This role involves ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing contract negotiations, and providing support during the construction supervision phase. The Contracts Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure the successful execution of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Contracts Management: Contract Management: Oversee the administration of all contracts related to the project, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate.
Negotiations: Lead negotiations for complex contractual issues, representing the organization in discussions with clients, contractors
Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the client and internal stakeholders, highlighting any contractual risks and opportunities
Contractual Presentations: Prepare and deliver contractual presentations as required.
Liaison with Departments: Work closely with the required departments to ensure compliance with any legal, and corporate protocols.
Contractual Progress Meetings: Drive progression via contractual progress meetings, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in law, business, purchasing, economics, finance, etc.
Preferred skills
Proven experience in engineering, industry or construction is required.
(2 – 10 years) s required in contract management, operational project management, contract law, legal situation management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in contract administration.
