What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and talented Business Development Manager to join our team in Dakar. He/she should have good knowledge of technology and digital services and be fluent in English and French.

What do we expect from the candidate?
The candidate will be part of our Digital Services Team and mainly work in the acquisition of new users for the digital programs and products, collecting feedback from customers and helping turn this into product and operations solutions, leading marketing campaigns to target more customers and improve overall usage of the digital products.

The key responsibilities
• Customer onboardings & activations by managing a pipeline of distributors & various clients and interpreting customer data to find actionable insights for improvement.
• Collect customer feedback for product improvements collaboratively with Brand, Design, and creative teams to ensure the production and delivery of assets and materials relevant to customer activations and marketing campaigns.
• Customer support and monitoring of their usage of Solevo’s digital products and identify areas for improvement and necessary adjustments. A good knowledge on Power BI is required to be able to interpret data from analytics dashboards.
• Building & managing partnerships including implementation of new partnerships.
• Internal trainings & Process management to Maintain a strong understanding and support for the digital product catalog & Solevo’s digital products internally, across key sales and sales administration teams.

If you possess…
• At least 5+ years in a business development or sales function in a digital or services-based company
• Ability to use and understand data systems and ability to provide clear and concise product solutions and customer feedback.
• Experience with ERP / CRM and analytics (e.g. Tableaux or PowerBI).
• Ability to travel extensively across Cameroon to enable onboarding and training of new customers.
• Exceptionally good presentation and written communication skills
• Passion for dealing with complex customers and responding to customer needs, particularly in regards to technology products
• Strong business acumen in emerging industries
• Demonstrated ability to work with customers to understand their challenges or concerns with outcomes on sales targets
• Prior experience working in supply chain, Business Development or top-tier consulting experiences.
• Experience interpreting data and making product and process recommendations
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM Software (Dynamics) a plus

• Technical background: Sales &/or business development experience.
• Understanding of agriculture and inputs distribution.
• High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and French (local language a plus)
• A natural collaborator who enjoys working in a team with clever and ambitious colleagues.
