Women First Digital (WFD) is a collection of online platforms that provide information and counseling services on safe abortion, contraception and SRHR.
WFD leverages the reach, innovation and power of the internet to reach as many people as possible.
Through these platforms we connect women all around the world to accurate information, allowing them to make informed decisions about comprehensive abortion care and services.
The following platforms comprise the WFD Program:

1. safe2choose.org
safe2choose connects women all around the world to accurate and individualized information on medical abortion pills, so that they can have a safe abortion where, when and with whom they feel most comfortable.
Our team includes multilingual counselors, medical doctors and experts in the field of public health and international development that work together to provide women with accurate information about safe abortion.

2. HowToUseAbortionPill.org (also known as PinkShoes.org in regions of the world where criminalization or stigma make abortion resources inaccessible)
HowToUse is a one stop global resource for safe abortion, providing simple instructions on how to use the medical abortion pills.
HowToUse also provides abortion eLearning courses, country-specific abortion information and is currently translated into 24 languages.

3. Findmymethod.org
Created in collaboration with Bedsider.org and partners around the world, findmymethod.org shares information on contraception that is easy to understand, comprehensive, and globally representative.

Objective: This role is online based, from any location.
The Animator will work closely with the safe2choose communications team to deliver set expectations as per the defined scope of each project.
Work schedule will be defined according to the candidate’s availability and safe2choose communication needs.

Overall Responsibilities:
• Creating animations that highlight abortion information for the safe2choose platform.
• Researching information on abortion climate in various countries in order to ensure animations are contextually sound.
• Ensuring animations adhere to the themes of safe2choose.
• Any other work as per the scope of the agreed project, as will be communicated by safe2choose communications team.

Skills
• Ability to create tools for visual storytelling such as short gifs, short animated videos and longer animated videos.
• Creativity in disseminating information that can sometimes be considered (controversial).
• Knowledge and interest in sexual reproductive health is a plus.
• Willing and able to research various forms of visual storytelling in the sexual reproductive health space.
• Endurance, motivation and self-discipline.
• Ability to take and apply feedback in a timely manner.
• Capable of meeting deadlines and short turnaround times.
• Fluent in English and at least another language.
• Working knowledge of other languages is a plus (French, Spanish or Portuguese as a priority).
• Experience working in advocacy is a plus.
• Independent access to a working computer and a reliable connection to the internet.
