Regional Sales Manager
CLIENT
Linum Consult’s client is a market leader in the distribution of machine parts across the Mining, Civil Engineering and Heavy Industry sectors in Africa.
Due to extended growth, they are looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager for their line of energy equipment (generators, etc.), to be based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out customer research and canvassing
- Organising follow-up client visits
- Establishing relationships with the local government for current or future public works projects
- Updating and implementing the commercial mailing list for a portfolio of public works companies
- Responding to calls for tenders by participating in the development of bidding documents
- Monitoring the client portfolio
- Developing equipment sales
- Following up on orders and established quotes
- Ensuring compliance with contractual commitments
- Participating in the negotiation of sales or service contracts
- Participating in budget preparation and execution
PROFILE
- Master’s degree qualification in Commerce, Marketing, or Sales, or have a Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5-10 years’ experience in a similar B2B position within an industrial environment, ideally in a branded dealer network
- Preferably have good knowledge of sales activities for energy generation equipment used in construction or mining
- Creative and innovative personality, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of West Africa and its socio-economic background would be beneficial
- Fluent in French & English
