The Customs declarant trainee ensures the dispatch or transit of goods on behalf of the company or an individual, by regularizing the customs clearance files. It supports both export and import of goods. A true bridge between the customer and customs, the customs declarant ensures that everything is in order when the goods cross the border.
Customs Operations administrator is responsible for proper declaration of the HS Code as per Customs guidelines in coordination with the respective Clients/Customers allocated
Responsibilities
• Ensure the collection and verification of all the necessary documentation for customs procedures.
• Assembly of customs clearance files and verification of their compliance with international transit regulations.
• Representation of the client and declaration of goods to the public entity in charge of customs.
• Verification of goods exported or imported.
• Observation and control during customs procedures.
• Provide basic analysis, interpretation and advice to clients.
• Compliance with commitments made (deadline and deadline)
• Supervision of operations (effective management of windchests, etc.);
• Creation of monitoring reports for suspensive regimes in conjunction with the dedicated unit.
• Control of discharges and extension of suspensive regimes.
• Control of declarations of exemption.
• Follow-up with customers.
• Obtaining raised hands.
• Produce weekly activity reports to the line manager.
• Immediately inform their supervisor of any risky situation.
• Ensure their ongoing training and the development of their skills in line with the realities of the working environment.
• Strictly respect the process and the hierarchical links.
• Complete customs clearance formalities
Requirements
• BTS / bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Customs Logistics
• 1 year maximum experience in Customs Clearence, Perfect Knowledge of Customs Clearence procedures as well as customs legislation and techniques
• Perfect Knowledge in customs law, tax, procedures and international business law
• Sense of Organization and Management
• Rigor in the preparation of customs records
• Excellent command of office and IT tools
• Know how to deal with stress of deadlines.
• Good Communication with other departments.
• Other Duties may be assigned.
