As a part of our Strategy towards strengthening our team and further developing the Business, we are looking for a Service Engineer-Electrical & Automation. In this position you will become part of Wärtsilä West Africa Operational Organization and shall be based in Dakar, Senegal. You shall drive Wärtsilä Purpose and demonstrate Wärtsilä values, develop within an organization with high passion and drive.

Your main responsibilities will be:
• Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan,
• Perform advanced electrical/automation and system integration related troubleshooting on 4-stroke engines and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform technical advisory services
• Commission of service products,
• Lead the on-site team and related activities during the work execution.
• Interact with customers during the work execution.
• Interact with FS coordinators and technical service team during work execution.
• Perform internal and external progress status up-dates of the assigned work
• Create the Service Work Reports,
• Proactively Consult, advise and promote available Wartsila solutions and products to Customers.

Main requirements in this role are:
Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree in Electrical and Automation atleast 5-10 years of relevant work experience.


Skillset requirements
• A safety-first mind-set.
• Handson experience on maintenance & trouble shooting of 4-stroke engines & auxiliary
• Excellent organizational skills and Customer Centricity.
• Demonstrable team working skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations.
• Excellent communication skills and well-developed cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Proficiency with standard MS tools would be an advantage.
• PMP Certification would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English & French with relevant additional language skills beneficial.
• Willingness and able to travel extensively.
