As a part of our Strategy towards strengthening our team and further developing the Business, we are looking for a Junior Service Engineer-Electrical. In this position you will become part of Wärtsilä West Africa Operational Organization and shall be based in Dakar, Senegal. You shall drive Wärtsilä Purpose and demonstrate Wärtsilä values, develop within an organization with high passion and drive.

Your main responsibilities will be:
• Execute Electrical & Automation maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning activities on Wärtsilä equipment.
• Perform works on engine control systems, UNIC systems, automation upgrades and retrofit projects.
• Perform root cause investigations related to E&A failures.
• Participate/Work in commissioning and testing activities following major maintenance and modernization projects.
• Provide technical support during emergency breakdown situations.
• Prepare service reports, technical recommendations and improvement proposals.
• Support continuous improvement, safety and quality initiatives.
• Actively contribute to his own competence development.

Main requirements in this role are:
Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree in Electrical atleast 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

Skillset requirements
• A safety-first mind-set.
• Experience or knowledge on maintenance & trouble shooting of 4-stroke engines & auxiliary
• Excellent organizational skills and Customer Centricity.
• Demonstrable team working skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations.
• Excellent communication skills and well-developed cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Proficiency with standard MS tools would be an advantage.
• PMP Certification would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English & French with relevant additional language skills beneficial.
• Willingness and able to travel extensively.
