About us
At Nutrition International, we make a difference, because nutrition is the difference. Woven into the very fabric of our approach is the passion and drive of our global team of over 600 people, working in 13 offices across 11 countries with one common goal: transforming the lives of people who need it most through improved nutrition.
If you are a motivated and passionate individual who shares our conviction that a better world is possible through improved nutrition, wants to leave the world a little better than they found it, and is looking to be part of a global team with a clear vision, we want to hear from you. Please consider applying for the position below.

Know our team
The Integrated Nutrition and Gender Project in Senegal (PINGS), which focuses on five regions: Kolda, Sedhiou, Tambacounda, Kaffrine, and Kédougou is funded by the Government of Canada (GAC) and implemented by Nutrition International (NI) in collaboration with the Government of Senegal (GoS), specifically the National Council for the Development of Nutrition (CNDN) and World Vision Canada/Senegal. Over a span of seven years, PINGS aims to enhance the capacity of twelve ministries responsible for improving the nutritional well-being of the population. By offering technical assistance, the project will integrate nutrition into action plans and coordinate interventions. Additionally, PINGS promotes a multisectoral approach that emphasizes gender equality in the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of nutrition and health policies, programs, and services. Working in partnership with the GoS, our project seeks to empower key stakeholders within communities, ensuring better gender equality and equitable access to nutritional and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services for women and girls.

About the role
The Implementation Manager will oversee the development and execution of annual workplans, working in close collaboration with the Nutrition International project team, implementing partners and government stakeholders. The Implementation Manager will work closely with the PINGS Technical Advisor to ensure alignment with national policies and local priorities. Together, they will lead a diverse team, offering strategic guidance and mentorship to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of project activities. The Implementation Manager will also drive the reporting and documentation processes, utilizing Monitoring, Data, and Learning (MDL) frameworks.

Responsibilities
• Lead the development and consolidation of annual workplans in collaboration with implementing partners, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives, desired results, and national policies on health, nutrition, and gender.
• Facilitate coordinated planning processes across the five implementation regions, consolidating regional workplans into a cohesive, comprehensive plan that reflects local contexts while ensuring overall project coherence and high-quality delivery of outputs.
• Oversee timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality implementation of activities across the five regions, including budget planning, monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including implementing partners, national, regional, and local authorities, as well as field teams to ensure harmonized execution and adapt plans based on evolving needs and challenges.
• Facilitate collaboration with partners and key stakeholders through regular coordination meetings and continuous communication to ensure that parties are informed, aligned and equipped to meet project goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and local governments to ensure policy alignment on health, nutrition and gender, and to support effective project implementation at field level.
• Represent the project in high-level meetings/forums and government-led initiatives, disseminating the experience and good practices of PINGS.
• Work with the PINGS Technical Advisor and senior officers of the Adolescent and Women’s Health and Nutrition (AWHN), and Maternal and Newborn Health and Nutrition (MNHN) country program to ensure the project’s alignment with NI and Senegal’s strategies and priorities; and provide guidance on integrating these considerations into the implementation of interventions.
• Conduct regular field visits with senior program officers (AWHN, MNHN, MDL) to monitor project implementation, identify challenges and bottlenecks in the execution of activities and recommend corrective actions.

• Coordinate with Zonal Coordinators to gather field data and narratives, and consolidate timely, accurate donor reports that highlight implementation progress, challenges, and key learnings.
• Support the documentation of success stories and case studies and facilitate learning events and stakeholder forums. Ensure that reporting goes beyond activity implementation to capture key learnings, challenges, and adaptive strategies – particularly in the integration of nutrition, reproductive health, and gender equity interventions.
• Collaborate with the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to ensure that project data is analyzed and used to inform reporting and guide strategic adjustments in the field.
• Work closely with the M&E Officer to oversee data collection, monitoring, and evaluation processes to measure project impact, ensuring robust measurement, documentation and learning systems are in place to track project progress against targets and outcomes across all regions.
• Use MDL data to inform real-time decision-making, ensuring that lessons learned from the field are rapidly incorporated into ongoing activities.
• Work closely with M&E Officer to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
