Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is the primary Official Development Assistance (ODA) agency of the Government of the Republic of Korea. We are currently looking for Senegal nationals for the position of Agricultural Project Manager to join the dynamic KOICA office team.

Responsibilities
The Agricultural Project Manager will work with the Deputy Director and the ODA expert in Agriculture. S/he will be mainly responsible for supervising the projects staff in their assignments which includes supporting the work of national and operational units, with technical and administrative inputs.
In the context of the implementation of KOICAs’ agricultural projects in Senegal, support planning, monitoring, and evaluation (including data/information collection) of agricultural projects including field visits:
• Coordinate and monitor overall project tasks and other logistics for successful implementation of the project and frequently communicate with the assistant director and ODA expert
• Following up on the implementation of activities at the country level by stakeholders and experts through mailing, calls, and meetings, and preparation of meetings
• Reviewing and updating project documents: work plans, agreements, guidelines and reports, regular tracking of the various indicators, and financial status
• Liaise with partners, ensuring a collaborative effort towards the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agricultural projects
• Assist in compiling project technical and financial reports and any other deliverables submitted by implementing partners and consultants
• Ensure the monitoring and supervision of the agricultural projects in Senegal through;
• Regular communication with the national focal point
• Collect agriculture-relevant data/information of the government and other donor agencies in Senegal
– Field visit
• Involvement in other assignments in relation to the duties:
• Translation during meetings with non-Anglophone speaking partners and translation of French written documents for Korean staff;
• Press review
• Partner report and document reviews
• Concept note analysis, project initiation study
• Collect agriculture-relevant information concerning policy, the government (eg. modalities for international cooperation), and other donor agencies in Senegal
• Carry out brief analysis when required
• Assist in compiling the data/information
Desired qualifications
• Minimum of University Degree level (Project management/Agriculture /Diploma or related)
• At least 7 years work experience
• Preferential work experience in related occupations
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English, French
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Experience working with the Government of Senegal
• Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• A proactive, problem-solving action orientation is essential
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in both English and French
