Security Assistant

Length of service:
• 11months fixed-term contract renewable after evaluation
• 11months renewable annually on March 31st

Responsibility
• General Management of security for all KOICA works;
• Support the settlement of newly arrived Korean Staff and consultants and their departure (including the issue of ID card, rent of house, buying cars etc);
• Assist Koreans with administrative procedures;
• Assist Korean volunteers from their arrival in Senegal until their departure, in all areas relating to their stay in Senegal and their activities;
• Conduct research on security in the regions where KOICA volunteers and projects are located;
• Prepare monthly reports on security for newspapers and press sites in Senegal and internationally;
• Build partnership with other security officers (Police, Gendarmerie, UNDSS …);
• Attend meetings with security structures in Senegal (Police, Gendarmerie, UNDSS…);
• Conduct the press review using newspapers and press sites in Senegal and internationally;
• Help with certain office administrative tasks;
• Any other tasks assigned by a supervisor.


Desired Qualifications
• Minimum of Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Senegalese private law ;
• Preferential work experience as a security assistant or a former law enforcement and security officer (police, gendarmerie, military) or two years’ experience related to security management.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English, French;
• Good communication and reporting skills ;
• Good at multitasking;
• Proactive, problem-solving action orientation is essential;
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in both English and French.
