ABOUT YOU
You are passionate about providing an exceptional recruitment experience for all candidates and hiring future Dalbergians with the right skills and team spirit. You are both a strategic thinker and an effective implementer. You are energetic in finding creative approaches to talent sourcing. You apply a data-driven approach to inform decision making and recommendations. You believe in developing global development leaders and taking a diverse and inclusive approach to how we think about our talent and people. You can work well individually and as part of a global team, effectively coordinating multiple stakeholders.

This position may be for you if you can coordinate Dalberg West Africa’s talent acquisition strategy and execute HR functions in our Abidjan, Conakry, Lagos and Dakar offices, among others. You will report to the West Africa Talent Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Technical Qualifications:
• Excellent understanding of recruitment trends, innovations, and best practices, including candidate sourcing, marketing strategies to target potential candidates, and selection methods for entry-level, mid-career and senior-level recruits (headhunting)
• Undergraduate degree in management or relevant postgraduate degree
• At least five (5) years of professional experience
• Experience in professional services firms such as consulting, law, or accounting firms
• Fluency in English and French
• In-depth knowledge of university operations and programs in several regions (program cycles, tracks, equivalencies, etc.)
• Good understanding of employer branding strategies, labour market information, and digital recruitment techniques
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, as well as strong analytical skills, including qualitative HR analysis and the ability to synthesise findings to inform decision-making
• Proven ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously, adjust priorities as necessary, work under pressure, manage modules seamlessly and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed

Interpersonal Qualifications:
• Experience working with colleagues in multiple locations is an asset; some flexibility in scheduling will be required to allow for working with others in offices around the world
• Sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication and team management skills

Digital Qualifications:
• Knowledge and/or experience with HR/labour legislation in multiple countries and/or regions, including Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea and Senegal
• Ability to learn and use systems such as Deltek Maconomy and Talent, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), SharePoint, Alumni Fire, and others
• Knowledge of social media and other professional networks (e.g., Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Strategic prospecting and talent acquisition for the West Africa region (permanent staff and short-term consultants)
• Maintain market knowledge and expertise in recruitment trends and practices in each of the countries we are present in
• Analyse and report on hiring forecasts and other recruitment data to inform management decision making and identify areas for process improvement at the local and/or sub-regional level
• Identify new talent pools and improve our effectiveness in tapping into existing networks, including reinvigorating our senior referral program with a diversity, equity and inclusion lens
• Identify and update current recruiting best practices and design new methods to meet changing development needs
• Help design, manage and measure the success of sub-regional recruitment cycles (internships and undergraduate and MBA hires) and mid and senior-level recruitment campaigns
• Contribute to strengthening Dalberg’s brand image in West Africa to better target potential recruits, in collaboration with the Group’s communications team and improve all recruitment materials (presentations, flyers, videos, etc.)
• Enhance our footprint on college campuses by organising targeted events, liaising and building relationships with career centres, student groups and other organisations worldwide
• Create a strong candidate experience (personalised and transparent) throughout the recruitment process to attract top new talent
• Work with our consulting team to update our interview training materials
• Drive the staffing process by ensuring quality relationships, process rigour and transparency
• Build an up-to-date database of potential permanent consultants and high-level short-term experts to tap into when needed, promoting diversity of languages, regions and expertise
• Update job description templates and content and manage the HR recruitment system (talent management, school relations, etc.) and Dalberg’s online profiles on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.
• Develop and maintain a repository of case studies to share at recruiting events and on our website to help candidates prepare for the recruitment process
• Facilitate recruitment webinars and oversee Dalberg’s recently updated West Africa alumni engagement program
• Help build and manage the onboarding and exit process for employees
• Contribute to the design and oversight of training programs and update our retention strategy with a diversity, equity and inclusion lens
