Consultant for advocacy toolkit Water security and climate change
It's hard to believe that today 844 million people do not have clean water and 2.3 billion do not have a decent toilet - around one in three of the world's population. Every two minutes a child under five dies from diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation.
WaterAid West Africa is looking for a consultant to support the development of advocacy toolkit on Water Security and Climate change.
The assignment to be undertaken by the consultant, will result in a user-friendly advocacy development toolkit with best practice examples for developing national advocacy strategies which are integrated in WaterAid strategic planning processes including links to regional and global advocacy, and covering the different steps of developing and implementing an advocacy strategy, including monitoring and evaluation tools.
The consultant can be located in Senegal or one of the WaterAid West Africa Country Programme (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria or Sierra Leone)

To be successful, you'll need to have:
• Proficient in English or French language which are considered essential skills;
• Experience of designing and implementing successful advocacy strategy/ies will be a strong advantage
• Creativity and communications skills such as being able to explain complex concepts simply.
• Expertise in water and climate issues from a campaign's perspective
