Main responsibilities
• Works closely with the Plant Maintenance and Operations Departments.
• Provides an advisory role to the Maintenance Manager and the Plant Manager.
• Develops, plans, and monitors the implementation of the Health, Safety, and Environment policy in accordance with Plant Management.
• Implements the safety and environmental policy defined by Plant Management.
• Provides an advisory role to Plant Personnel.
• Proposes, plans, and ensures the implementation of action plans to improve the HSE function.
• Monitors and processes files defined in collaboration with the Maintenance and New Works department.
• Participates in, monitors, and processes files defined in collaboration with the Maintenance and New Works Department.
• Implements and manages health, safety, and environmental manuals
• Ensures compliance when introducing new chemicals
• Ensures or arranges for the production of the necessary statistics and dashboards
• Prepares internal reports on workplace accidents and incidents
• Reports to various organizations (Ministry of the Environment, Water Agency, etc.)
Education & experience
• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field
• 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
• Additional training in First Aid, Fire Safety or risk assessment is an added advantage
