Wärtsilä is seeking a Graduate Engineer Trainee (Electrical) to join our team at the Kahone in Senegal. In this role you will undergo structured training to develop technical and leadership skills required to supervise mechanical maintenance operations. This role is designed to prepare the trainee for future responsibilities in managing mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and coordinating electrical maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective tasks.
• Support the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
• Learn and apply safety procedures and regulatory compliance related to electrical work.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and reports.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and supervisors to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Engage in leadership development activities, including team coordination and resource management.

Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university in Senegal with good academic record.
• Experience: Internship or practical exposure in mechanical maintenance preferred.

Skills
• Basic knowledge of Electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in French
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
• Good interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High integrity and ownership.
• Target-oriented and self-motivated.
