West Africa Farms SARL is a rapidly expanding Senegalese agricultural business based in Yamane, Lac de Guiers, Dagana, within the rural community of Ngnith. Established in 2011, the company produces salad onions, radish and beans for export. As part of its commitment to internal promotion and long-term talent development, West Africa Farms has successfully delivered two editions of its Employee Trainee Programme (ETP) in 2022 and 2023. Building on this success, the company is launching a new Emerging Leaders Trainee Programme (ELTP) to identify, develop and prepare future leaders to support continued business growth.

Programme Overview
The ELTP is designed to identify high-potential internal and external candidates and develop them through a bespoke programme tailored to individual skills, experience and development needs.
All selected trainees will receive core development in Health and Safety and HR and ESG. In addition, trainees will undertake focused development within their matched operational areas — Harvest, Packhouse, Growing or Environment — according to their skills, experience and leadership potential.
The programme will run for two (2) years and will combine structured placements, internal and external training, coaching and practical leadership development tools.
The ELTP supports the company’s succession planning and prepares participants for future supervisory and management roles, particularly within Harvest, Packhouse, Growing and other expanding operational departments.

Eligibility Criteria
• A university degree is advantageous but not essential
• Relevant industry experience, including suitable leadership or supervisory
• experience, will be considered
• Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Good level of English, both written and spoken
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams
• Motivation, availability and willingness to learn and develop

• Written assessments
• Oral assessment, including a 10–15 minute PowerPoint presentation
