Job description
Reporting to the Geology and Mineral Resources Department, you will be responsible for geological modelling and resource estimation in line with international best practices. You will play a key role in ensuring that reporting complies with the JORC Code and contribute to delivering high-quality block models for mine planning and production optimization.
Responsibilities
Your main duties include:
• Performing 3D mineral resource estimations using specialized software (Datamine, Leapfrog).
• Preparing mineral resource estimation reports in accordance with the JORC Code guidelines.
• Validating and continuously improving geological models and supervising QA/QC protocols.
• Coordinating with geology, exploration, planning, and production teams to align modelling with strategic goals.
• Providing technical mentorship to geology and drilling teams.
• Participating in technical studies, audits, and due diligence projects.
Your profile
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in geology, geostatistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in geological modelling, resource estimation, and technical reporting.
• Recognized as a Competent Person (CP) under the JORC Code, or having a demonstrable track record to obtain CP status shortly.
• Membership in a recognized professional organization with an enforceable code of ethics (e.g., AusIMM, AIG, GeolSoc, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Leapfrog, Datamine, and standard office software.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English and French.
