– Overall Job Purpose
1. 1 – Responsible by operation and maintenance of the production metering systems of Oil, Natural Gas and water on board of the FPSO, guaranteed reliability of fiscal, allocation, custody and operational metering system in accordance with contractual and legal requirements.

2 – Core Responsibilities
2.1 – To monitor and validate the daily closing of fiscal and oil production and natural gas production, as well as the volume of water produced and production and the performance of production measurement systems, according to the requirements established in the MMS – Metering Management System;
2.2 – Calibrate primary meters (offshore flow), secondary transmitters (P & T), tertiary (BSW, density etc), as required in the MMS – Metering Management System;
2.3 – Perform the maintenance of the control valves of the measuring skids, automatic samplers, flow computers, PLC’s, HMI according to the MMS – Metering Management System;
2.4 – Issue detailed technical reports, notifications of measurement failures, requisition of purchases, according to guidelines defined in the MMS – Metering Management System;
2.5 Assist in the control and collection of samples for chemical analysis (gas chromatography and oil PVT), according to guidelines defined in the MMS – Metering Management System;
2.6 – Assist in the assembly and disassembly of meters for onshore calibration (laboratory), according to MMS – Metering Management System guidelines.
2.7 – Replace orifice plates and assist in dimensional inspections of orifice plates and straight stretches of measurement.
2.8 – Monitor internal and external audits as defined in the EMS.
2.9 Update the metering registers and electronically archive the documents periodically as defined in the MMS – Metering Management System
2.10 Accompany well testing and update chemical composition in flow computers as defined in the MMS – Metering Management System.

2.12 Maintain gas composition and oil density in flow computers, as established in the MMS – METERING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
2.13 – Control orifice plates, calibration standards, and sealing of metering systems, in accordance with established MMS – Metering Management System guidelines.
2.14 -Comply with the activities related to ISO10012, according to guidelines established in the MMS – METERING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
2.15 – Calibrate the pressure and temperature instruments according to the guidelines established in the maintenance plan.
2.16 – Assist in Instrumentation activities according to the guidelines established in the maintenance plan.
2.17 – Demonstrate ownership of own training requirements and proactively arrange training to be done/renewed in time as per MODEC Integrated Management System.

3.3 – Emergency Plan: As per indication on the Training Matrix, Emergency Management Guide and Offshore Emergency Management, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

6 Job Challenges and Problem Solving
6.1 Deal with all Operations and Maintenance demands during process plant upsets and shutdowns, due to the reduced number of electricians onboard.


7 Qualifications & Experience
7.1 – Educational Qualification:
High School Degree – Mandatory.
Technical School Degree – Expected.
A tertiary qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control or equivalent – Expected;7.2 – Certifications:
As per educational qualification;
7.3 – Trainings: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
7.4 – Relevant Experience:
Must have proven experience with similar metering systems.
Expected previous experience as metering tech on FPSOs.
