About Teach For Senegal
Teach For Senegal (TFS) is focused on developing a movement of leaders across the nation committed to ending educational inequity. In the short term, through a two-year Fellowship, TFS recruits Senegal’s most outstanding university graduates and young professionals of all academic disciplines to teach as full-time teachers (Fellows) in high-need schools in poor communities. Through this experience, our Fellows gain exposure to the realities of Senegal’s education system and identify their role in building a wider movement for educational equity. In the long term, TFS supports its alumni – equipped with the experience, conviction, and insight from leading children to fulfill their potential – to be a force for change, working from across sectors to expand educational opportunities.
Teach For Senegal’s culture and work is grounded in and guided by a deep commitment to pursuing true transformational change for students growing up in low-income communities. It is a leadership development organization – committed to fostering staff members, Fellows, stakeholders, community, and alumni who establish a clear and bold vision for the future and strategically work towards achieving our vision of an excellent education for all children. TFS operates with a deep sense of possibility and perseverance with a team of young, dynamic, and diverse individuals. We are an organization committed to its people and operate with respect and humility toward all.
As a start-up and locally-led organization working in a complex environment, we are looking for exceptional individuals who are both self-directed and strong team players to make up our team.
