Duties
- Working within the Warehouse of the General Services Office of the embassy and under the direct supervision of the Expendables Supervisor.
- Assists with receiving and recording of all items; picks and packs for issuances and assists with delivery.
- Assists with the distribution of gas and fuel and prepares all required reports.
- Assists in the expendable supply room and associated warehouse operations.
- Assists with receiving expendable items updates receiving documents
- Operates FLT and pallet jacks
- Drives delivery vehicle for fuel and gas
- Conducts routine inventory and cycle counting
- Picks and packs for the issuance of expendable supplies, check to see that orders are complete.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 years of substantive clerical experience working in a warehouse or distribution center.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Basic warehouse and inventory control.
Safe storage and handling of materials – especially hazardous materials

Education Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:

English: Basic Knowledge – Able to use greetings, ask questions and give simple directions.
Can form basic sentences and express basic thoughts.

This may be tested.
French and Bambara: Limited Knowledge – Reasonable confident in speaking French and Bambara and able to handle social situations and casual conversation and limited work requirements.
Able to write simple texts and fill out forms.

This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license for at least 5 years.
Must be certified to operate a forklift.
Must be able to lift 23 kilograms.

Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S.
Mission in Bamako, Mali may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned by the HR Officer when the conditional offer is presented.

IMPORTANT:
Applicants who claim status as a preference-eligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), equivalent documentation, or certification.
A certification is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant.
The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain
(1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date, and
(2) the character of service.
Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.

This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and Civil Service employees with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
