As a Equipment Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for executing planned/breakdown work based on an agreed job plan and schedule in a safe and effective manner, reporting all observations, improvements, and abnormalities as well as provide appropriate technical knowledge and craft skills, giving the ability and competence to undertake breakdown and restorative maintenance for all types of equipment installed at the depot and warehouse.

Key responsabilities
Health Safety and Environment
• Contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture within Maersk operations
• Execute safe work processes and comply with relevant health, safety and environmental excellence procedures, controls and legislative compliance with a responsible environmental attitude
• Fully understand and comply with the safe systems of work and requirements for work permits and Lock-Out, Tag-Out as required under Maersk mandatory safety procedures
Performance / Operational
• Follow best practice in maintenance repair and investigate work, according to their trade discipline, Maersk maintenance procedures, standards, and OEM requirements
• Undertake day to day the execution of breakdown maintenance works as they occur, and contribute to the planned work schedule, where required
• Ensure that all failure causes, modes, and maintenance actions are properly recorded within the CMMS
• Collaborate with managers/ supervisors to drive down maintenance costs and optimize the breakdown maintenance processes
• Support the Maintenance supervisor in providing specialized insight into equipment failure characteristics and maintenance analytics
• Support equipment incident investigations, where these occur
• Participate in safety training or technical updates for maintenance, where required
• Provide technical input for special equipment and spare part procurements
• Strategy
• Follow the global policies, procedures, and guidelines for specialized depot, trucking and warehouse equipment, which will support the Maersk business to sustain the safe operation of all LnS equipment and structures
People / Communication
• Communicate clearly with all internal personnel and external contacts
• Comply with Maersk Group values and business principles
Cost Management
• Collaborate with managers/ supervisors to drive down maintenance costs and optimize the specialized equipment maintenance processes
Reporting and Scope
• The position reports to the Equipment & Fleet Maintenance Supervisor
• The scope of the position is locally based
Skills and competencies required
• Degree (Bac, DTI or plus) in Engineering Mechanics, Electromechanics automotive mechanics or relevant field
• Requires two years’ experience in the maintenance of Containing Handling equipment.
• Requires good problem-solving skills, with an ability to define the problem, identify solutions and select the best solution
• Communication skills with the ability to communicate across the local organization
• Able to exercise discretion and good judgment, with an ability to understand the overall effect of decisions taken, both locally and company-wide
• Able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion
• Fluent in French
• Knowledge of local Safety, Health and Environment workplace regulations
• knowledge in computer skills and professional programs (i.e.: Microsoft Office, Database, CMMS systems)
• In this position, the incumbent will have an opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in the following areas:
• Exposure to the scheduling and planning, preventive and corrective maintenance of Container Handling Equipment, Trucks and trailers, forklifts
• Exposure to Logistics and services Operations
• Exposure to global polices, standards, procedures and overall operating requirements
• Experience in new processes, methods, techniques with different equipment
