The Société d’Exploitation des Mines d’Or de Sadiola (SEMOS SA) is looking for a General Manager Business Services (Director of General Affairs) to head the newly created Department.

Requirements:
- Level of education: A recognized degree (Bac +5) in HEC, preferably with a specialization in business;
- Proven experience in the mining sector;
- Previous experience in the service industry would be an advantage.
- At least eight (8) to ten (10) years of proven experience at a senior management level;
- Computer literate with intermediate to advanced skills (Excel, Word, Power Point);
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Very good communicator;
- Ability to speak fluent French and English;
Content of the Position:
- Review and align the business services operating model and outcomes to drive business performance and optimal profitability;
- Set business services objectives and priorities in line with the business plan;
- Rigorously lead the implementation of all service projects and strategies;
- Launch change initiatives and value-added projects, ideas, methodologies and strategies;
- Integrate service delivery mechanisms and standards to position services as best-in-class and fit for purpose;
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement, simplification and positive attitude in service functions;
- Ensure legislative and site compliance with relevant systems, group and site specific policies and procedures e.g. safety, occupational health and gender equality etc.
- Identify and drive the implementation of systems and automation/digitization;
- Meet site and board governance and reporting requirements;
- Report on progress with clear reporting and business intelligence measures;
- Develop and maintain a competitive IT infrastructure, service and capability for Sadiola;
- Maintain high standards of health care, vector control, vermin and medical support for the business;
- Ensure effective processes, systems and employee engagement at all levels;
- Ensure long-term sustainable relationships and engagement with trade unions;
- Ensure sustainable relationships with communities and external stakeholders of the company;
- Manage the service delivery of Administration, Human Resources, IT, Community Development and Health Services
- Position SEMOS SA as an important economic and social organization and contribute to the success of the mining industry in Sadiola, Kayes and Mali.
