GLOBAL TE ARCHITECTURE WORKSTREAM LEAD

The Opportunity
Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the– Global TE Architecture Workstream Lead at any existing Save the Children office location.

Role Purpose:
SCI is currently facing a number of external pressures that require us to look at our structure and ways of working and determine the changes we need to make in order to remain relevant as we move into 2021 and beyond. As part of this, The TE Transformation Project aims to ensure we have the right technical expertise in the right places around the world. We believe that Technical Experts are critical for achieving our breakthroughs for children. We currently have Technical Experts sitting in member organizations around the world and we are looking at how we can organize this expertise in the most effective way.
The Workstream Lead for the Global TE Architecture will be responsible for leading this strategic change across Save the Children, working closely with the TE Transformation Project Director and the Deputy Director, Humanitarian Programs. This role will oversee all elements of the transformation, including process design, organizational structure design, change management, project planning, financial implications and implementation. It is essential that the Workstream Lead has extensive Organisational Transformation experience and is able to operate at a strategic level right down to the detailed design and implementation. The role requires engagement with the most senior stakeholders of our organisation and beyond as well as strong line management capabilities to define the way forwards and guide the team removing blockers as they arise.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential
• At least 15 years work experience, and 4 years leading a project / change team
• Experience in implementing organisational structure/operating model change projects, ideally in the NGO sector
• Experience in solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
• Experience leading design and implementation of a project
• Excellent business partnering, communication and relationship building skills.
• Ability to prepare compelling design and project update presentations to senior stakeholders – strong powerpoint skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage productive relationships with senior staff
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills – ability to oversee data analysis to facilitate decision making
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.

• Adaptability and commitment – flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, from interfacing with senior stakeholders to taking minutes

Recommended
• Familiarity with Save the Children
• Familiarity with development and humanitarian programming
• Experience working as a Technical Expert / Technical Assistance provider in an NGO context
• Significant senior level leadership and management experience in a large and complex international NGO or organization

We can offer circa £ 64,500 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible of working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.
This role can be based in any existing Save the Children office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
