Supply Chain Manager

- Promote the design, development, and implementation of warehouse, distribution and logistics
- Manage labor costs, personnel productivity, inventory levels, data accuracy and stocking strategies
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of departmental activities and operations
- Create and maintain safety work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands, production schedules, established workflows and safety guidelines
- Implement strategies to improve service quality
- maintain various supply chain plans and strategies
- optimize operational resources while executing cost reductions and inventory controls
- conduct monthly capacity and performance analyses to ensure that forecasts and schedules are aligned and integrated
- Engage in short- and long-term planning and conduct inventory analyses for warehouse utilization
- Negotiate contracts and rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs house brokers, warehouse managers and related third-party logical service providers
- Ensure that appropriate import and export compliance procedures are followed by employees and contracted service providers
- Must maintain clear and consistent communication with suppliers, vendors, and shipping contacts throughout the procurement lifecycle
- Manage the operational Procurement function
- Manage several critical supply and contract agreements
- Actively plan and meet the material needs and contractual requirements
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers and maintain strong business relationships with them
- Participate in the development of an inventory reduction strategy
- Participate in the implementation of sustainable development policies and procedures;
- Actively participate in and occasionally lead safety meetings and discussions.
- Become actively involved in the company’s aims and objectives of engaging with the local community and strive to leave a positive impact on the longer-term outcomes for local people. Promote the integration between this engagement and the success of the business.
- Identify potential savings opportunities and take appropriate action. Explore these ideas and complete a feasibility study for potential cost savings.
- Daily and month end reporting to the Commercial manager
Accountability
- Provide leadership and direction to supply chain teams responsible for the management of all facility supply functions in alignment with the Order-to-Delivery processes and KPI.
- Manage the team and relationships with other departments to ensure that all compliance documentation and process governance is in place.
- Accountable for supply chain processes, planning, material requirements, inventory management, demand and orders management, supply chain performance and logistics.
- Accountable of the development of the supply chain organizational design, key enterprise inventory metrics, point of use material availability, component availability and reduction of cash to cash cycle time.
- Ensure appropriate reporting across all the supply Chain functions.
- Accountable for supply chain performance improvements
