Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is looking for a Strategic Communications Advisor (SCA) to join its Communications and Fundraising Department in Dakar, Senegal.

Key responsibilities
The SCA will:
• Provide strategic advice on public positioning and communications.
• Develop communication strategies, key messages and communication tools.
• Produce and coordinate content including press releases, articles, social media content, Q&As and opinion pieces.
• Manage media relations and support public communications.
• Lead communication support during emergencies and crises.
• Advise and mentor field communication teams.
• Undertake field missions and support communication strategies at country level.
• Contribute to communication projects across MSF.
Profile
• Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Public Relations or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in journalism, communications and/or content production, preferably in the
• humanitarian sector.
• The ideal candidate has strong skills in strategic communication, crisis communication, media relations,
• writing and content development, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent French and English required.
• MSF and/or field experience is a strong asset.
