Your role
The Pricing & Quoting trainee is the essential link between a company and its customers. He welcomes, listens, advises, secures contracts, handles complaints and recovers payments due from customers
Responsibilities
Study the needs of customers and their employees;
• Interact daily with customers and employees (sales, finance, documentation, operations & transit/customs) for all subjects related to pricing, contracts & work procedures;
• Manage requests for quotes for all modes of transport (air, sea & land);
• Provide support to sales representatives for greater responsiveness in producing quotes;
• Be a force for proposals in improving operational & commercial procedures
• Welcome, inform and advise customers;
• Development of a price base with all transport & logistics providers;
• Keep the contract base with all transport & logistics providers up to date;
• Develop strategies to boost sales in conjunction with the sales team;
• Ensure commercial follow-up and handle complaints to maintain a relationship of trust and build customer loyalty;
• Produce weekly activity reports to the line manager;
• Immediately inform your superior of any risky situation;
• Ensure your ongoing training and the development of your skills in line with the realities of the work environment;
• Strictly respect the process and hierarchical links;
• Any other services deemed necessary by management in relation to your skills.
