Onshore Operation Engineer Junior/Intern (Only for Locals)
Overall Job Purpose
Assisting operations engineers with all operations activities to ensure all the requirements of the FPSO Operations and Maintenance contract are fulfilled to permit the safe, efficient production operations in line with the project plan.
• Supporting Operations Engineers to coordinate/manage the FPSO operations including its human and material resources safely and efficiently to achieve organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with the FPSO Operations and Maintenance contract terms and conditions by ensuring all Operations activities are conducted safely and with due regard to the environment and providing operational input to the design of the FPSO systems and facilities to ensure delivery of the Operations and Maintenance KPIs.
Core Responsibilities
• Assisting Operations Engineers with the coordination and integrity of the FPSO Operations in compliance with Clients Agreement, Company Policies, Procedures, HSEQ-MS and Legal Requirements.
• Assisting Operations Engineers with the guidance and coordination of all support activities to ensure the Superintendents deliver a world class unit operation according to a defined Budgets and Performance Indicators.
• Assisting Operations Engineers with the provision of adequate and sufficient resources for the effective enforcement of Health Safety and Environmental Management System.
• Assisting Operations Engineers with modification of process systems as per Management of Change Procedure and the Change Notice Request procedure.
• Assisting Operations Engineers to Monitor the Unit operation, production performance, cost effectiveness and safety records.
• Assisting operations engineers to recommend work equipment, procedures, and performance criteria for ongoing planned activities; helps define training needs for Operations personnel, such as trade skills enhancement, related to procedures.
• Assisting Operations Engineers to Inspect equipment and facilities or observe maintenance activities; assists with the development and implementation of planned shutdowns for facilities maintenance purposes.
• Comply with Contractual and Operational KPI’s.
• Assisting Operations Engineers to prepare Daily Production Plant assessment and production control.
• Assisting with Daily Report preparation.
• Assisting Operations Engineers to monitor the unit operation, production performance, cost effectiveness and safety records.
• Demonstrate ownership of own training requirements and proactively arrange training to be done/renewed in time as per MODEC Integrated Management System.
• Any other duties and responsibilities required for safe, smooth, and efficient operations and maintenance of the FPSO

• Regular contact with the Operations team both onshore and offshore
• Regular engagement with the Maximo system administrator.
• Regular contact with operations relevant vendors.
• Regular engagement with the discipline Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and related Ops and maintenance personnel.
• Regularly engages with contractors and vendors for related operations and maintenance improvement projects and scopes.
Job Challenges and Problem Solving
• The incumbent will be required to work under direct supervision. Will report to the Operations Engineers
• Self-starter, ability to work independently and able to work unsupervised and manage multiple work-streams.
• Work jointly with Operations and HSE Groups and their Support teams to establish continuous improvement to onboard training programs and drive results
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
• Appropriate degree or formal technical qualification preferred. Tertiary education – engineering preferred but extensive operational experience in similar environments equally valid.
• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Marine, Chemical or Production Engineering is preferred.
Certifications:
As per educational qualification.
Trainings: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Relevant Experience:
1-3 years’ experience in a similar role

Complies with safety and occupational health conditions for the job position according to the Occupational Health Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Works from Dakar Office with regular offshore trips to the FPSO.
