Under the guidance of the Head of Infrastructure, you are responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and designing communication networks.
Responsabilities
• Configure and install Group network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, service integration)
• LAN, WAN and Cloud infrastructures Network configuration and management of Baobab Group and subsidiaries
• Management of security policies, changes, users, access, QoS, site to site VPN, service integrations, Disaster Recovery Plan of subsidiaries
• Direct and recommend Network configurations and improvements to the subsidiaries IT personnel
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilisation, trending and capacity planning
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Follow-up solutions and projects with the subsidiaries IT personnel
• Training on the technologies used to the subsidiaries IT personnel and team Network staff, Drafting of LLDs, technical guides, weekly reports of support operations, Project management and delivery
• Select and implement security tools, solutions, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaise with vendors and partners (ISP, solutions vendors, Baobab Group partners, ..) and other IT personnel for service, solution integrations or problem resolution
Professional and Technical skills
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years of experience in IT production infrastructure/environments
• CCNA or higher
• Experience with Cisco Meraki
• Experience with Cloud Networking and Security preferably AWS
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• University degree in Computer Science or a related subject
• English proficiency;
• Ability to manage, communicate and drive performance
• Must be fluent in French and English
