Training & Development Analyst
We are looking for professional to work in our office based in Dakar – Senegal
Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for assisting on managing MOSEN employees’ competencies, training & development and to establish the required training for subcontractors, guarantying competent professionals to MOSEN operation, qualified services providers, continuous improvement of MOSEN work force and promoting nationalization by at minimum Local Content Plan Targets.
Core Responsibilities
• 2.1. Ensure a competency model that is aligned with MODEC values, global policies, FPSO operation requirements, positions job descriptions, local legislation and international best practices through an organized, comprehensive and transparent competency management system.
• 2.2. Assist on managing the competency evaluation process to overall MOSEN work force as required, according to the competency model established by determining goals, giving visibility of employee’s competencies status and facilitating the employee competency evaluation and creation of their development plan.
• 2.3. Facilitate people to comply with a training matrix (Technical, Safety & Leadership) that is aligned with competency model, MOSEN management system, local legislation and international best practices.
• 2.4. Assist on managing the training status of overall MOSEN work force, according to the training matrix established by determining goals, giving visibility of employees training status and facilitating the employee training execution.
• 2.5. Promote the development of MOSEN employees engaging their leaderships to their responsibility with their employee’s competency evaluation and development plans by supporting on the identification of trainings to close the competency gaps identified, establishing goals to the leadership regarding training and assessment and giving visibility to the competency and development results.
• 2.6. Liaise and arrange the activities of the Operation Training Simulator (OTS) with the consultant / technical instructor.
• 2.7. Verify if the training requirements for the suppliers aligned with MOSEN management system, local legislation and international best practices by determining to Supply Chain the required training for each service and act as require promoting this alignment.
• 2.8. Support the Training and Development Coordinator to establish the most optimum strategies and initiatives to accelerate the development of locals aiming the nationalization as per Local Content plan, without jeopardizing the safety, compliance and efficiency of MOSEN operations
• 2.9. Contribute to the annual budget planning (expenses and investments) by providing the necessary information about workforce planning and resources, services, materials need and analyzing data as required.
• 2.10. Analyze the use of IMS by all employees of the team and contribute to the governance and functionality regarding the following main aspects: comply with the management goals and projects schedule (when applicable) together with B&PM team and guarantee that IMS Documents are complied with, reporting findings.
• 2.11. Facilitate the alignment of the employees with Company Objectives, Policies, Procedures and integration with Clients, Community, Suppliers and MOSEN Executive Team, by leading and engaging them, providing technical and behavioral guidance and feedbacks sessions and clarifying the Career Path.
Work Relationships
As per indication on the Organizational Chart, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Job Challenges and Problem Solving
• Assist on establishing training service locally to MOSEN employees and training requirements to the local service providers, once there is no mature Upstream Oil & Gas Industry in-country.
• Liaise with the leadership and work their mind-set to develop their local direct reports, once there is a nationalization program in place and the success of developing the locals might impact in leaders’ current position inside this operation.
• Facilitate the competency system to be simple and at the same time reliable, so the employees will give to it credibility and they will keep their engagement to participate in the assessments and development plans. This might be a challenge due to the number of steps require in the training and competency model’s vs the time available from leaders to invest on that with their direct reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification
• College Graduation mandatory, Petroleum Engineer post-graduation specialization courses preferable.
Certifications
Project management and training certifications preferable.
Relevant Experience
Proven working experience of minimum 2 years in the Oil & Gas business. Training and Competence Management experience, ease of learning and good communication skills.
