Role overview
The Senior Director at TerraPay is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving business growth, managing key partnerships, and leading regional operations across Western & Central African Region. This position demands a strategic leader who can leverage market insights, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure the achievement of revenue targets within the region.
How you will create impact:
As a Senior Director at TerraPay, your role will encompass –
• Revenue Generation: Spearhead revenue growth for cross-border payments across the region.
• Team Leadership: Oversee and guide a team of Regional Sales Managers, Cluster Managers, and Relationship Managers to meet and exceed regional revenue targets.
• Partnership Development: Cultivate existing partnerships and develop a robust pipeline of new partners, focusing on both sourcing and termination aspects.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other regional and cross-functional teams to optimize current corridors and establish new ones for cross-border payments.
• Opportunity Identification: Continuously seek out new business opportunities and spearhead the introduction of innovative products and initiatives.
• Representation: Act as TerraPay’ s ambassador at conferences, industry events, and forums, enhancing the company’s visibility and influence in the sector.
Requirements
Essential qualifications
• 15 to 20 yrs of extensive experience in a senior sales role within the payments, fintech, or financial services industry, with a focus on cross-border payments.
• Minimum graduate (post-graduation will be an advantage) with proven communication skills
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the West and Central Africa region.
• Deep understanding of the cross-border payments landscape, market dynamics, and regulatory environment in WCA.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and opportunity identification.
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in both French & English language is mandatory.
