Job description
Coordinates & reviews administrative, training, and logistical support between the Embassy/Consulate and Host Nation for the Special Program for Embassy Augmentation and Response (SPEAR). Develops, maintains and enhances liaisons with training partners in the Host Nation Government with embassies of other nations, organizations and partners who share similar security concerns.
Job requirements
• Minimum 5 years combination of experience with training, leading a military or police unit with minimal supervision, and/or coordination with law enforcement, military, judicial, or international organizations, national police, gendarmerie, security contractors, or other military entities as well as administration, logistics, personnel management, and project implementation is required.
• Familiarity with Host Nation and civilian security and law enforcement organizations, basic security principles, and knowledge and structure of Host nation training partners and security units.
• Knowledge of office management functions and procedures, with stronger interpersonal, organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Computer literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with knowledge of Access and SharePoint
• Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education.
• Level 3 English (Good working knowledge reading/speaking/writing) required. Level 4 French (Fluency, reading/speaking/reading) required
Skills and abilities
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with contacts at various levels both within government and private sector.
• Ability to develop and maintain liaison with outside organizations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to think independently and critically.
• Ability to apply sound judgment in arranging viable logistics. On the job, this will allow the candidate to ensure that SPEAR courses are delivered on time and in a manner enabling proper course execution and tracking of SPEAR equipment.
• Skilled in translation and interpretation.
• Must have a local driver’s license.
