Our West African client is seeking to employ an experienced Security Manager to oversee the delivery of security services for an operating mine and support services in West Africa.
Our ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced security professional who has significant experience in providing a high standard of security and related services.
The Security Manager will be responsible for:
- Identification and assessment of security related risks;
- Planning and delivery of security related services for an operating mine, Company premises, and accommodation camp;
- the security and transportation of all personnel;
- Plan and lead the security response to incidents and threats;
Security project planning and execution.
- Applications are sought from experienced security professionals who have the following qualifications, skills and experience;
- Fluent French (written and spoken);
- Significant experience leading a security team for a mining operation in West Africa;
- Previous experience working with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights Standards;
- An employment history with demonstrated high professional and ethical security standards;
- A demonstrated history in mentoring the development of professional skills and capabilities;
- A practical and methodical approach to problem solving;
- Excellent report writing and communication skill.
Roster and Conditions
The successful applicant will be offered an excellent remuneration package, commensurate with skills and experience, travel to and from the site, a 6 week on / 3 week off roster cycle.
