Global Intranet Specialist

In this role you ensure that our company-wide intranet, MySource, realizes our vision of facilitating communication, collaboration, and celebration for all our employees.
Working closely with our Director, Global Intranet, as part of the Strategic Communication Team, you will drive our intranet forward by creating and posting content and supporting BCD Travel’s overall internal communications strategy.
You will provide creative and technical support for a SharePoint-based platform.
We are looking for a highly-organized, dynamic self-starter with excellent communication skills.
Someone who demonstrates cultural sensitivity and understanding when coordinating across international offices and who is comfortable in a highly-virtual workplace.
This is what you do:
Day-to-day ownership of our company-wide intranet, MySource:
• Provides frontline support for users
• Regularly updates site content; edits and manages images
• Ensures proper coordination between the IT and the Strategic Communications Team, including owning the bug management process and managing releases
Playing a key role in our transition from using SharePoint Classic to SharePoint Modern:
• Conducting research to understand intranet user needs
• Configuring content based on business needs
• Migrating content from the old site to the new setup
• Aligning content across M365 products, like Yammer, Streams, Outlook, Teams
• Staying updated with changes in technology
Leading our network of 100+ non-technical content publishers:
• Working closely with content publishers to understand their needs and involve them in planning and problem solving
• Revamping our training program and policies
• Performing quality spot-checks
• Actively engaging and coaching on how to best present content
Supporting our global rollout:
• Applying strong project management skills to coordinate and manage local country intranets as they are federated into MySource
• Migrating content and aligning with standards and processes
• Inspiring and aligning with strong communications and good planning
This is who you are:
• Experience with and understanding of intranet platforms
• Experience with SharePoint
• Fluent in English and a second language is preferred
• Experience in travel industry preferred
• Great at project and time management, critical thinking and delivering quality work
• Authentic and bring a sense of fun to each day
