We are seeking a PhD-level Country Expert with deep expertise across West Africa.

This is a remote, part-time role for highly qualified academics and researchers with strong regional knowledge.

???? Responsibilities:

Review and finalize expert reports for human rights cases

Verify and contextualize information on human rights issues

Provide expert-level insight and academic rigor

Work with our legal and editorial teams to ensure accuracy and professional standards

? Requirements (Strict):

PhD REQUIRED in political science, African studies, sociology, international relations, history, law, or a related field

Deep expertise in one or more subregions: North Africa, Central Africa, West Africa

Strong understanding of human rights issues in the region

Excellent English writing skills (B2+ or higher)

Preferred candidates: scholars from the region or with extensive field research experience
