The world is inevitably heading towards a remote workforce and the most recent events have expedited the process and posed challenges for many companies to keep their employees engaged and productive while working from home.

Crossover is ahead of the curve with its 100% remote talent serving over 150 companies and its unique approach to remote work. Unlike most training programs which are boring and stuck in theory, our program is bringing 1,000 workers and managers into the future of remote work by assigning them real work. The skills required to work in an office and manage a team in an office are different from the skills needed to build a world-class remote worker and manager.

We are searching for a leader who will determine which skills are most important for our curriculum, build the content and real-world application experiences, and manage the course coaches. Student satisfaction is paramount: our students, ranging from junior engineers to senior executives with 30+ years of experience will report this program to be the hardest and most rewarding professional experience they've ever embarked on.

What you will be doing:
Each day you will wake up and strive to build a learning experience that students love. Three and a half hours of your day will be dedicated to curating the best content online about remote work and making important decisions about what should be, and what should not be, in our remote work curriculum. We have a very strong opinions when it comes to how to do remote work but our curriculum needs to increase its content regarding the personal and emotional side of remote work. The other major portion of your day will be observing the curriculum in action - like a spy cam in the classroom. You will notice that not every assignment you build is a home run and must decide if it needs a redesign or if the coaches are teaching it incorrectly. The program will only be successful when students love the experience so you will also spend time talking with students about what they liked and did not like in the course. Lastly, you will be coaching the team who guides students through the course. You might observe how a coach interacts with a student and debrief the interaction with the coach to show them how to improve their instructional style.

Key Responsibilities:
• 3.5 hours/day: Curating articles, interviewing remote work experts, listening to podcasts, curating Twitter, and consolidating multiple concepts into a coherent lesson for curriculum units.
• 4.5 hours/day: Reviewing the curriculum in action to determine if the curriculum needs to be improved or the coach is not teaching well. Providing feedback to coaches in written data structures as well as verbally.

Candidate Requirements:
• Has managed at least 25 people for 2 years in a software company (people in the team are at Manager-level and above)
• Has at least 2 years experience building curriculums and developing lesson plans. Ideal candidate has also spent time (2 years) as a teacher. At a minimum, candidate must have some onboarding/training experience and an excitement for teaching
• Customer focused: candidates need to know how to relentlessly pursue customer satisfaction
• Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms
• Strong leadership: needs to constantly drive coaches to improve their methods and empower them with the right tools and content to excel at teaching students

Nice to have:
• Remote work experience is preferred but not required since RemoteU can quickly train them. At a minimum, candidate must have an interest in and high excitement for remote work
