About the job and why you are needed
You would be working for a company which, combines the world’s largest satellite with terrestrial groundwork, managed services and an accessible architecture to make it a clear market leader.
Through a new generation of services, they enable customers to drive both revenue and reach.
With a lot of recent success, and expansion plans the West African Sales team need and senior and strategic individual to join them to help identify and develop new and ongoing business opportunities whilst managing the regional team.
You will hold responsibility for business development and retention with a wide range of opportunities from a great base of current customers to excitingly, virtually untouched markets.
Our client emphasised that they want to be joined by someone who has ambition and hunger to succeed in a managerial sales environment, and that the right person will be part of a really exciting and successful journey.

Responsibilities
- Handle the negotiation of high value, complex deals, to ultimately close and bring in revenue
- Develop ongoing sales strategies with senior leadership, working out how to increase value added services to customers
- Manage the West African team, defining the regional roadmap and implementing it
- Win new business and subsequently grow the portfolio thereafter, demonstrating your own leadership capabilities
- Work closely with sales engineers and the wider team to provide an outstanding customer service, which adds value to customers
- Stay up to date with new trends in the industry, always being on the edge of innovation
Essential Skills/Requirements
- Solid experience of sales with a hunter mentality
- Team management experience
- A strong track record closing high value, complex deals
- Previously sold to the Mobile Network Operators, Service Providers and Enterprise Customers
- An ability to spot opportunities where value can be added to an existing customer and you can up-sell a solution or service
- Energy, enthusiasm and a drive to be successful
- A technical background is beneficial but not essential
- Account Management experience
