The Opportunity

It is an exciting time for the Finance team at Plan International. We are embarking on significant departmental transformation to ensure strong financial capability and to maximise the impact of our financial resources, particularly important in challenging economic times, for the ultimate benefit of children, especially girls.
As we embark on this ambitious and exciting journey, we are recruiting for a number of new finance roles, who will help to prepare, position and strengthen the organisation to achieve long lasting change in children’s lives.
We are particularly keen to build our technical expertise and create stronger business partnering approach, so would love to hear from candidates with exceptional skills and experience in these areas on a global scale.

Plan International is transitioning its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution from SAP to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Our new ERP solution will strengthen our business processes, leading to a more data driven and transparent organisation, which in turn, makes us more efficient and sustainable.
The ERP Transition Finance Accountant role provides an opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of work in the area of Financial Accounting in order to ensure the smooth and successful migration of financial data, accounting and reporting.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with the international finance team in understanding group accounting and reporting requirements.
You will ensure that the operations manual is updated and reflects current processes whilst also providing technical expertise as necessary during implementation.
You will also identify the appropriate content to include in the end-to-end processes overview in addition to the training modules for the deployment of the new ERP system.


The Individual

We are looking to employ a well-organised individual with ACA or equivalent professional qualifications with significant post-qualification experience.
You will have knowledge of finance processes and controls, IFRS and USGAAP, as well as prior experience of using consolidation systems for complex and multi-national organisations.
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong communicator and will have an excellent level of competency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
You will also be able to partner with other departments or teams to create consistent and good quality documentation and training materials.
Fluency in English is essential whilst proficiency in French and Spanish is desirable.

Location: Global Hub (Woking, UK where we are all currently working from home due to Government restrictions) or in most locations where Plan International has a legal entity and you have the pre-existing right to live and work

Type of Role: 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility for extension

Salary: We will be happy to disclose the salary and applicable benefits to applicants as part of this process, however, please kindly note that this will vary according to the location of the appointed candidate and therefore, it is not possible to include full details here.
The salary for an appointed candidate based in the UK will be in the range of £40,000 - £45,000
